History

The history of Dyckerhoff Pharma goes back to the 1930's, as the founder of the company, the chemist Prof. Dr. Hanns Dyckerhoff, began his research on ribonucleic acids.

In the Mid 1950's, Prof. Dyckerhoff develops the therapy with ribonucleic acids extracts. At this time, he is the director of the scientific department in the pharmaceutical factory Buer in Cologne, Germany. This work is the basis for the REGENERESEN products, which were applied to patients shortly after this development. The first publication on REGENERESEN treatments are published in 1957.

In 1963, Prof. Dyckerhoff founds the "Laboratorium Prof. Dr. H. Dyckerhoff GmbH & Co KG" together with his colleague Heinrich Klein and his wife Katharina. The production of the REGENERESEN products is know at his own company in Cologne Sülz. The distribution of REGENERESEN at this time lies at the Company Müller in Göppingen, Germany.

1965, only two years after the foundation of his own company, Prof. Dyckerhoff dies at the age of 61. After his decease, his partners Katharina and Heinrich Klein keep up the business of the company.

From 1977 the couple Klein get supported by their nice and prospective pharmacist Sigrid Schühlein and her husband, the doctor Karl-Heinz Schühlein.

Sigrid and Karl-Heinz Schühlein take over the management of the company in 1985 and are leading it until today.

With steadily growing requirements for the production, the company does not have enough space at its current location in the densely populated quarter of Cologen Sülz. Thus, the company found a new site in a modern production surrounding in Cologne Longerich in 1991 where the company is situated until today.

In 1991, the product range was expanded by the ASmedic products. The first product was Harpagoforte, which contains the extract from the devils claw to treat e.g. inflammatory suffering at Joints. In 1997 the range gets further expanded by the B-Vitamin products.

After the move to the new facility, the distribution for the products could be taken over from the Company Müller Göppingen. This is the first time in the Company history that all steps from production to the delivery can be fulfilled by Dyckerhoff Pharma itself.

In 1999 the company, which is still named Laboratorium Prof. Dr. H. Dyckerhoff GmbH & Co KG gets renamed into the Dyckerhoff Pharma GmbH & Co. KG. This Name pays tribute to the industrial nature of the Company but reminds of the founder Prof. Dyckerhoff and his research work.

Dyckerhoff Pharma offers its Services as contract manufacturer for liquid forms to other companies. As specialist for small scale batches, the Company has established itself as a reliable partner for its customers.

In 2010, an extensive renewal of the production and the clean room area was realised to ensure the product qualiity and match the requirements for a modern production, for our own products and for products of our contract manufacturing customers.

Since 2012, Dyckerhoff-Extracts are produced as APIs for the final manufacture in pharmacies as  individual extemporaneous mixture according to the therapy concept of Prof. Dyckerhoff. The REGENERESEN product range is no longer available after expiration of its registration. The ASmedic range gets complemented by  Aqua ad Iniectabilia ex Colonia (water for injection) in glas ampoules. In 2019 the production and sale of Isotonic NaCl-solution ASmedic (saline solution) in 1 ml glass ampoules began.
